Lisa Smyth’s legal experience encompasses all aspects of domestic relations practice, including paternity lawsuits, prenuptial agreements, divorce litigation, post divorce modification actions, adoption, and care and protection cases.
Her background in civil and criminal law as wells as real estate law permits her to offer clients a wide breadth of legal experience. The foundation of Ms. Smyth’s litigation practice is careful preparation and attention to detail. These skills have served her clients well, particularly when confronted with high conflict and complex divorce matters. Ms. Smyth is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, the Appeals Court for the First District, and the United States District Court for the First Circuit.
Ms. Smyth enjoys the challenges of complex divorce litigation but knows that most of her clients benefit more from the less expensive process of negotiation and settlement.
Ms. Smyth was honored to be inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a Bachelors Degree in the fields of Psychology and Sociology. She graduated from Boston College Law School in 1988. Her first legal employment was as a federal law clerk for Judge Joyce London Alexander, U.S. District Court for the First Circuit.
About twenty years ago, she opened her own law practice concentrating in domestic relations practice. In 1998, she met her husband and law partner, Brad Greenberg.
